Pre-polling for the Wollongong Local Government Election opened across the city

PRE-POLLING for the Wollongong Local Government Election opened today across the city (Saturday 7 September).

There are eight pre-poll locations across the Wollongong LGA. You must vote at a pre-polling place in your ward.

The polling locations will be open every day up until the election (Saturday 14 September). Find a pre-polling place in the northern suburbs:

  • Balgownie Village Community Centre, 113 Balgownie Road, Balgownie (WARD 1)
  • Helensburgh Healthy Hub, 338 Cemetery Road, Helensburgh (WARD 1)
  • Corrimal District Library and Community Centre, 15 Short Street, Corrimal (WARD 1)
  • Thirroul Community Centre, 352 Lawrence Hargrave Drive, Thirroul (WARD 1)
  • Wollongong Returning Officer’s Office, 163-177 Crown Street, Wollongong (enter via Globe Lane) (WARD 2)

There is no absent voting at local council elections. This means if you’re planning to be away on election day, you will not be able to vote at another polling place that’s not located in your ward. If this is you, plan ahead by pre-polling in the lead up to the election.
