Maintenance work will be carried-out on Lady Wakehurst Drive between McKell Avenue and Otford Lookout next week.

Work will include road repair and resurfacing, vegetation maintenance, clearing gutters and drains, maintenance of safety barriers and litter collection.

Lady Wakehurst Drive will be closed in both directions between McKell Avenue and Otford Lookout for three days from 8am to 3pm, Tuesday 22 October to Thursday 24 October 2024, weather permitting.

There will be temporary impacts to residents and motorists while we carry out this work.

During the work you may notice:

  • workers and vehicles
  • traffic controllers and signage
  • noise and light from machinery and equipment.

A spokesperson for Transport for NSW said every effort will be made to minimise impacts and complete the work as quickly as possible.

During work, detours will be in place via McKell Avenue, the M1 Princes Motorway and Lawrence Hargrave Drive. Motorists should allow up to 10 minutes additional travel time.

Residents within the closure area will have access to their properties at all times under the guidance of traffic controllers.

Pedestrian access to Otford Lookout and walking tracks to the beaches in the Royal National Park will not be affected by the closure.
