
A DRIVER has died after a single vehicle crash at Corrimal on Saturday night.
Just after 8.10pm (26 October 2024), emergency services were called to Rothery Street following reports of a single vehicle crash.
On arrival, Wollongong police found a red Mitsubishi hatchback had crashed into a parked vehicle. Despite the effort of NSW ambulance paramedics, the driver – a 18-year-old man – died at the scene.
There were no other injuries reported due to this incident.
A crime scene has been established and an investigation into the incident has commenced. The vehicle was seized to be forensically examined.
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
