
A MAN has been charged following an alleged armed robbery at Corrimal.
Police were called to a Corrimal convenience store on the Princes Highway about 1:30am on Tuesday 7 January 2025.
On arrival, Wollongong Police were told a man allegedly armed with a knife entered the store and demanded money. He left the scene a short time later with an amount of cash.
There were no reports of injury
Following inquiries, about 2pm today (Tuesday 7 January 2025), police went to a residence in Murray Rd, Corrimal, where a 33-year-old man was arrested.
He was taken to Wollongong Police Station and charged with robbery while armed with offensive weapon He was refused bail to appear before Wollongong Local Court tomorrow, Wednesday 8 January 2025
