
A POLICE investigation is underway after reports of a spate of break and enters at Woonona.
Following inquiries, police believe the five incidents are related, and are appealing for information or dashcam footage to help in the investigation.
- Two men broke into a café on Park Road, Woonona, where they stole an amount of cash and left the scene, about 2.20am on Sunday 26 January.
- A person has reportedly broke into a house on Pendlebury Parade, Woonona about 1.30am on Saturday 25 January. No items have been reported stolen at this stage.
- Sometime between 11pm on Friday 24 January and 6.30am on Saturday 25 January, a grey Mitsubishi Ute was stolen from a property on Beach Drive, Woonona. About 1.20pm on Sunday 26 January, police located the vehicle abandoned on Campbell Street, Woonona. The vehicle was seized for forensic analysis.
- Sometime before 6.30am on Saturday 24 January, a person broke into a house on Campbell Street, Woonona, where they stole a wallet, mobile phone, ID cards and house keys.
- Sometime between 3.30pm on Friday 24 January and 6am on Saturday 25 January, an amount of cash was stolen from a café on Princes Highway, Woonona.
