POLICE have appealed for information after a public place shooting at Woonona earlier this month.

About 11.30pm on Saturday 17 May 2025, Wollongong police were called to a home on Cotterill Avenue, Woonona, following reports a gunshot had been heard.

Officers attended and spoke with the occupants of a home.

Damage was located on the front of the home, consistent with a projectile; however, there were no reports of injuries.

Police established a crime scene and began an investigation under Strike Force Baines.

About 12.50am on Sunday 18 May 2025, Fire and Rescue NSW firefighters were called Dallas Street, Keiraville, following reports a car had been set alight. The blaze was extinguished a short time later.
