
UPDATE: Road work on Lawrence Hargrave Drive at Stanwell Park, has been postponed and will no longer start next week. Transport for NSW will provide an updated timeline soon.
NATURAL disaster recovery work will be carried-out on Lawrence Hargrave Drive at Stanwell Park from next week.
Transport for NSW will undertake slope stabilisation work on the eastern side of Lawrence Hargrave Drive at Stanwell Park to prevent further ground movement.
A single lane closure will be in place to allow safe access to the site and to ensure the safety of road users. Temporary traffic signals will operate both day and night for the duration of the work. Motorists should allow an additional five minutes’ travel time.
Work includes:
- establishing a temporary work site
- clearing debris and vegetation
- drilling high strength steel rods into the slope (known as micropiles)
- installing new guardrail.
Work will be carried out from Monday 25 August for 10 weeks and is expected to be completed by the end of October, weather permitting. Work hours are Monday to Friday between 7am and 5pm.
There will be temporary impacts while the work is carried-out.
You may notice:
- workers and vehicles
- traffic controllers and signage
- lane closure and reduced speed limit of 40 km/h
- noise from machinery and equipment.
