NORTHERN Illawarra residents may experience disruptions with a pro-Palestine protest march planned for Sea Cliff Bridge next month.
Wollongong Friends of Palestine have called the action as part of the Nationwide Day of Protest for Palestine.
The rally will gather at 1pm in Leeder Park, Coalcliff, march across the bridge, and end their demonstration at Rube Hargrave Park, Clifton on Sunday December 7.
The Illawarra has seen dozens of protests since Israel began its war against Hamas – an Australian designated terrorist organisation.
Rally co-organiser Jet Hunt said the march across Sea Cliff Bridge will be historic.
“Just a few short years ago, it would have been hard to imagine a Palestine march taking place across the bridge,” she said.
