It’s time to get prepared for the summer school holidays! From today (Saturday 22 November), you can grab your free kids pool vouchers for Corrimal Heated Pool to use during the school holiday period.

Wollongong City Council is continuing the pool voucher trial program it introduced last year. The program offers 10 free visits for children aged between 5 to 16 years at the two facilities.

Wollongong Lord Mayor Tania Brown said she is pleased to see the program return.

“Going beachside may not be as easy for some, so finding summer relief for free at your local pool does go a long way,” Cr Brown said.

“The program helped subsidise thousands of visits last summer holidays. That’s amazing to hear and its popularity is one of the reasons we wanted to continue it again.

“We also heard some great stories from our community about the vouchers and how it improved their experience. For some families that have more than one child, it’s been a great money saver. Our staff also enjoyed seeing some new faces using the facilities.

“I encourage people to get their vouchers ready early and avoid the queues that’ll come with the start of school holidays. So, pop in anytime from this weekend and prepare for a splashing great time come Saturday 20 December when you can start using them.”

Visit Corrimal or Dapto pool with your parent or guardian to get your pass. A valid photo ID must be presented to staff as proof of address.

To be eligible, children must be aged between 5 and 16 years old and reside in the Wollongong Government Area. Passes can be redeemed for casual entry only (not valid for swimming lessons, fitness classes or spectators) at Corrimal Pool or Dapto Pool between Saturday 20 December 2025 and Monday 26 January 2026.

Entry for children under 5 years old is always free with adult supervision.

Council’s other public pools will remain free to visit during the summer holidays. At all Council facilities, a parent or guardian is required to supervise children aged 14 years and under.
