Second man dies after ‘Burgh crash

police 3A SECOND man has died after a crash in Helensburgh last weekend. About 2am (Sunday 18 June 2017), emergency services were called to Walker Street, Helensburgh following reports two vehicles had crashed.

Wollongong police found a Nissan Skyline had crashed into the rear of a tipper truck at the location. The passenger, an 18-year-old man, died at the scene.

The 25-year-old driver sustained multiple injuries and was treated by paramedics before being airlifted to St George Hospital. He later died in hospital on Tuesday June 20.

 Officers from Crash Investigation Unit attended to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash. A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
