Changed traffic conditions for work on Mount Ousley interchange

MOTORISTS are advised of changed traffic conditions from next week while work is carried out on the Mount Ousley interchange project.

Work will include survey, vegetation removal, pavement and geotechnical investigations, utility relocations, and installation of signs.

Night work will be carried out as required between 7pm and 6am, Monday to Thursday, from Monday 1 July until Thursday 1 August.

During the work, traffic control and reduced speed limits of 40 or 60 km/h will be in place at times.

Road shoulder and single lane closures will be in place on the M1 Princes Motorway between Mount Ousley Road and Northfields Avenue between 8pm and 4am at times.

A contraflow arrangement will be in place on Mount Ousley Road at times, between 8pm and 5am, Mondays to Thursdays.

During night work, there will be at times, closures of the northbound M1 Princes Motorway on and off ramps at Northfields Avenue. There will be a weekend closure from 8am Saturday 13 July until 2pm Sunday 14 July, weather permitting.

There will also be lane closures on Northfields Avenue and Irvine Street at times, between 8pm and 5am at times Mondays to Thursdays.

Irvine Street between and Madoline Street and Northfields Avenue will also be closed at times, including Saturday 6 July between 8am and 6pm, weather permitting.

Transport for NSW advises motorists to drive to the conditions and follow the directions of signs and traffic control. Detours will be in place via local roads. Electronic message signs will advertise road closure dates in advance.
