Night work on Mount Ousley interchange

MOTORISTS are advised of changed traffic conditions starting next week while night work is carried out on the Mount Ousley interchange project.

Work will include survey, vegetation removal, pavement and geotechnical investigations, delivery of containers and site sheds, installing signage and placing electronic message signs.

Work will be carried out at night as needed from Monday March 25 until Thursday April 18, Monday to Thursday, excluding the Easter holiday period from Thursday March 28 until Monday April 1.

During work, the shoulders and left-hand lanes on the M1 Princes Motorway will be closed in both directions as needed, between Mount Ousley Road and Northfields Avenue, between 8pm and 4am. Additionally, the westbound lane on Mount Ousley Road will be closed between 8pm and 5am with stop slow traffic control.

Stop slow traffic control will also be in place between 8pm and 4am on the northbound M1 Princes Motorway on and off ramps, Northfields Avenue, Irvine Street and the M1 Princes Motorway.

Traffic control and reduced speed limits will be in place and motorists are advised to drive to the conditions and follow the directions of signs and traffic control.
