Changed traffic conditions at Memorial Drive Bulli

MOTORISTS are advised of changed traffic conditions at Bulli as maintenance work continues on the Farrell Road pedestrian bridge that spans over Memorial Drive.

Work includes repainting the bridge and replacing the safety screens.

Transport for NSW will be implementing changes to reduce the project’s duration by about 2.5 weeks, weather permitting.

Memorial Drive southbound will be closed for one hour tonight (Sunday 21 April) between 8pm and 9pm, weather permitting

Work will continue from Sunday for two months, weather permitting.

Intermittent one-hour closures of Memorial Drive in alternate directions will be required during the work. Electronic signage will notify motorists in advance of road closures and detours.

During road closures, detours for all vehicles will be in place via the Princes Highway and Bellambi Lane adding an additional five minutes to journeys.

Work will continue to be carried out during the day between 7am and 6pm, Monday to Friday and between 8am and 4pm on Saturdays, weather permitting.

24-hour single lane closures will be in place in both directions and a reduced speed limit of 40 km/h will be in place on Memorial Drive between Bellambi Lane and the Princes Highway at Bulli until work is complete.

Motorists are advised to allow five minutes additional travel time, drive to the conditions, and follow the directions of signs and traffic control.

During and outside of work hours, the pedestrian bridge will open intermittently. When the bridge is closed, detours for pedestrians will continue to be in place via Farrell Road, the Princes Highway and Molloy Street. Electronic signage will notify pedestrians when the bridge is open. Pedestrians are advised to allow up to an additional 10 minutes to their journey time.
