RESIDENTS of a multi-level Fairy Meadow apartment complex were evacuated from their homes, and four vehicles in its basement car park were destroyed, after a blaze on Sunday afternoon.
Just before 2.30 pm on Sunday, Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) responded to reports of multiple cars alight in the car park of the Northgate apartment block.
Due to a large amount of smoke, FRNSW received multiple triple zero calls to the Princes Highway units.
The fire reportedly caused the evacuation of around 60 people from the unit block and surroundings.
No injuries were reported and operations are ongoing.
