Mount Ousley Road to close overnight for five Sundays

BOTH Mount Ousley and Picton Roads will be closed over five consecutive Sunday nights, starting on August 20.

The closure will allow Transport for NSW to repair a damaged section of Mount Ousley Road and carry-out much-needed maintenance.

The repair work includes removing damaged road surface and barriers, resurfacing the section of road, repairing barriers and kerbs, and then line marking.

The damaged section of road is in the southbound left-hand lane about one kilometre before the New Mount Pleasant Road intersection.

The first stage of work to repair damage on Mount Ousley Road has been completed.

A series of pipes were installed under the road, which are expected to improve groundwater drainage and make the road more resilient to future extreme weather events.
